A design lamp not really like the others. Designed from wood chips collected from carpenters and French cabinetmakers, this design with a strong design will adapt to your desires of the moment. Available in several face variations, its burnt wood look and its gold interior give this collector's item intimate shapes that will bring a decorative touch to your interior.
This dodecahedron imagined by a designer passionate about the work of wood is placed on the floor or on a piece of furniture. Fashioned entirely by hand in a Montreuil workshop, the lamps are all unique and numbered for precise traceability. The exceptional finish of this lamp is obtained by an old Japanese practice, the "Shou Sugi Ban", stabilized by a colorless matte varnish with water. You can even add faces to play with the shapes ! A creation terribly design !
Florent Blanchard is a 27-year-old entrepreneur born in La Rochelle. Throughout his studies in Civil Engineering, he pursues the ambition to work in sustainable and eco-friendly buildings. He turned to a DUT Civil Engineering, then a license in low consumption wood building. After an alternation in a design office oriented towards the wooden structure, he will receive the basics of his training and strong support from the architect agency Coste-Orbach with whom he continues to collaborate via his own agency launched in early 2017. The company, based in Ivry-sur-Seine, is off to a flying start ... But experience is not enough because sustainable is not yet the common denominator of all projects that he hung up. He is looking for a new breath.
In what he describes as a "moment of madness", Florent imagines the design of a luminaire in the shape of a dodecahedron. On cardboard and paper, he tirelessly remakes the design of the arrangement of this luminaire designed by wood facets that come to be fond of each other. He imposes many constraints, looking for the best balance of shapes, weights ... And finally find: the DOD luminaire (as dodecahedron) was born.
