It was during a trip to South America that Julien re-imagined the idea of a mirror he had discovered in an old café in Buenos Aires. Play with the pictures, play with his own picture. Returning to Rennes, he tried to apply his find and develop a series. The difficulty lay mainly in the design because such an operation required significant costs, making it inaccessible to the market.
After reflecting for a long time, he developed a unique technique - chuttt it's a secret - to offer us a line of mirrors deforming quite brilliant! Easy installation and declined in several dimensions, it brings a touch of fantasy and modernity to a decoration whatever its spirit. A real work of art 100% made in France !
It is a young French Designer - and Breton - that we discovered in the person of Julien Vidame. He was first a printer, then, curious by nature, he follows his passion for creation. After applied art studies, he went to Great Britain where he was confronted with the boiling Design of Swinging London. At the age of 23, Skate Board and Portfolio under his arm, he is very quickly noticed by those who will become his colleagues.
Fan of brothers Bouroullec and Ingo Maurer, he returned to France after a year to resettle in Brittany - in Rennes - and to found his own studio there. With his experience in other countries and with a constant search for novelties, he started producing small pieces of furniture, with some of them immediately recognizing his peers, notably on the occasion of Exhibitions with the obtaining of Prizes (Prices of the Press to Home & Objects). A refined style, simple lines, a mastery of design and realization: the work of Julien Vidame is a clever mixture of poem and technical.
