Krystian Kowalski was born in Warsaw (1982) into a family of artists. He completed his product design studies at the Royal College of Art in London (MA 2010) and the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (MA 2007). After several experiences in design studios in Warsaw, Łódź and Milan, he joined Studio Bellini in 2007. In 2009 he co-created Kompott Studio, nominated for the FX International Interior Design Award (2010) in the Breakthrough Talent of the Year category. From 2013 he runs his own studio Krystian Kowalski Industrial Design in Warsaw.
Krystian works with several furniture editors in Poland and abroad. In his creation, he pursues the idea of intelligent solutions that give the product a refined and unusual character. It is based on an observation of behaviors and a deep analysis of trends and technologies by choosing the optimal solutions for brands and their capabilities. Kristian believes in the overall approach to product creation. It uses advanced technologies in parallel with the actual processing of materials. In his studio he concretizes his bold ideas materialized in the form of prototypes. His works have been exhibited at: Mint Gallery in London, MOCAK in Krakow and the Milan Triennale.
